Dariush Iqbali was born on 15th of Bahman 1329 in Tehran. His father Mahmoud Iqbali was one of the nobles of Azerbaijan. Dariush spent his childhood in the city of Mianeh, the birthplace of his parents, and lost his only sister Giti, who was not more than 5 years old, during his childhood, and this incident caused a strain in the relationship between his parents.
